Department of Computer Science
BSc. Computer Science (BSc. CS)
The general requirements for admission of WASSCE, SSSCE and GBCE candidates to first degree programmes are three (3) credit passes in three core subjects and three (3) credit passes in three relevant elective subjects.
WASSCE Candidates: WASSCE holders with Six (6) Passes (A1-C6) in all subjects, three of which should be credit Passes (C6) or better namely English, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science. It must be noted, however, that certain courses may require credit passes (C6) or better, in other relevant courses.
WAEC Candidates: SSSCE Holders Six (6) Passes (A-D) in all subjects, including English and Core Mathematics. For arears of specialization, three (3) of the Passes must be in relevant subjects.
GBCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus three (3) relevant elective subjects
A ‘Level Candidate: Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject (for Science students).
- Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems from any recognised Institution with the following: (i.e. at least 2nd Class Lower Division)
- University or College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems from any recognised Institution with the following: (i.e. at least a Distinction or Pass)
- Full Diploma Certificate in ABCE. Also, the applicant must have had credit passes in five (5)
Mature student’s entry avenues to tertiary education provide opportunities for people who could not do so earlier in their lives to further their education at the tertiary level after some year’s in the workplace.
MATURE: Must be at least 25 years, show proof of age with birth certificate or any Legitimate documentary proof of date of birth, and should possess either:
- GCE O’ level certificate with Credits in at least FIVE subjects including English and Core Mathematics.
- SHS certificate with passes in three (3) core subjects namely English, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science and three (3) elective subjects including Mathematics, Business Mathematics or Economics.
- In addition, ALL mature candidates will be required to write and pass an Entrance (English Language, Mathematics and an Aptitude Test) and also attend an oral interview.
Holders of Foreign Certificates: International students with qualifications equivalent to point A, B and C above will be considered for admission. Where an applicant is from a country where English language is NOT the medium of instruction in schools, the applicant will have to demonstrate that he/she understands, speaks and writes English language by supporting his/her application with English proficiency certificate.
BSc. Information Technology (BSc. IT)
The general requirements for admission of WASSCE, SSSCE, and GBCE candidates to first degree programmes are three (3) credit passes in three core subjects and three (3) credit passes in three relevant elective subjects.
WASSCE Candidates: WASSCE holders with Six (6) Passes (A1-C6) in all subjects, three of which should be credit Passes (C6) or better namely English, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science. It must be noted, however, that certain courses may require credit passes (C6) or better, in other relevant courses.

Also, the applicant must have had credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies in the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) or Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) or West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE). ABCE candidates may be considered for admission at level 200 of a degree programme.

Diploma in Registered Midwifery
WASSCE Holders: Six (6) Credits (A1-C6), of Relevance, Three (3) Electives, and Core (English, Integrated Science, and Mathematics)
Department of Theology and Missions
BA. Theology
In line with the admission criteria of the National Accreditation Board and the Ghana Christian University College, Ghana to which the programme is under mentorship, the following are the admission requirements for the programme:
WASSCE Candidates: WASSCE credits (Grade D or better) in three core subjects (English, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies) and three elective subjects.
WAEC Candidates: SSSCE credits (Grade C6 or better) in three core subjects (English, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies) and three elective subjects.
GCE O’ Level credit passes (Grade 6 or better) in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject; plus three (3) passes at the Advanced level of the GCE, one of which should be grade D or better.
- Diploma in Education from University of Cape Coast; plus five GCE O’ level credit passes (Grade 6 or better) in five (5) subjects including English and Mathematics.
- HND and other equivalent Diploma.
- Diploma in Religions/Theology from an accredited institution, with an average grade of “B’’ or better; plus GCE O’ Level credits in five (5) subjects including English and Mathematics.
MATURE: Must be at least 25 years, show proof of age with birth certificate or any Legitimate documentary proof of date of birth.
Student should having considerable experience in Christian ministry may be considered on the basis of passing an entrance examination in English Language, Mathematics and Introduction to Computing and an interview.
